About Tianwei Junior High School
Tianwei Junior High School (彰化縣立田尾國民中學) is a public junior high school situated in Tianwei Township, Changhua County, Taiwan. Since January 2024, I have had the privilege of teaching English here as part of the school's commitment to enhancing language education.
The school was established in 1961 as a branch of Beidou Junior High School. It gained independent status in 1964 and adopted its current name in 1968, coinciding with the implementation of nine-year compulsory education in Taiwan.
Currently, the school serves students across Grades 7 through 9 and also provides special education services. With seventeen classes, Tianwei Junior High School is dedicated to both academic excellence and extracurricular development.
Educational Focus
English Language Education
Since the second semester of 2023-2024, Tianwei Junior High has offered English Flexible courses across all grade levels, enhancing language education and helping students develop essential global communication skills. As an English teacher, I contribute to this program by delivering engaging lessons that strengthen students' language proficiency.
Sports Excellence
The school has established impressive sports programs specializing in track and field and weightlifting. These programs have fostered discipline, teamwork, and physical development among students while also bringing recognition to the school through various competitions.
Technology and Manufacturing
In 2018, the school invested in practical education by creating a manufacturing education and technology center. This initiative highlights the school's focus on providing diverse learning experiences and preparing students for various career pathways in an increasingly technological world.
